After winning the Young Tech Talent award at the West Midlands Tech Awards, Insights Manager Becki Hemming opens the lid on confidence in the tech industry as a woman.

Freestyler Elliott Hillman shares his thoughts on what the Freestyle experience is all about...
Q: What do you do at Freestyle?
A: I am an Account Manager. This mainly entails being the voice of the client internally, Managing briefs and proposals and focussing on building and maintaining strong client relationships.
Q: How long have you been at Freestyle? Has your journey within Freestyle changed since you first joined?
A: I’ve been at Freestyle 4 years now. Following an initial stint in the Site Support team, I then moved into the Client Services team, specifically Account Management. This move reflected a change in responsibilities, moving away from a product maintenance focus, towards a product evolution focus and managing client relationships. In short, communication and technical understanding of our digital products were key aspects in my first role, both of which have enabled me to excel in my current Account Management role.
Q: What is your favourite part of working on a product?
A: For me, its when our digital products get launched, and receiving positive feedback from our clients. Whether it be due to positive KPI performance, or simply an appreciation of the effort from our teams, seeing the value of our work being recognised by the client is what its all about.
Q: What do you like about working at Freestyle?
A: The office, and people, there is never a dull moment! With being out the office in the last year (for obvious reasons), this has never been more evident. Working from home has its perks, but I cant wait to get back into the office on a regular basis.
Q: What do you feel sets this apart from other places to work? What’s unique about us?
A: At Freestyle, a unique importance is placed upon accountability. This autonomous workplace culture is a key motivator for all of our internal teams, and ensures we proactively work in partnership with our clients to maximise success, rather than simply acting as a service provider. In short, this leads to happier clients, and a more enjoyable experience at work.
