During August, we received the amazing news that our talented Client Services Director, Kay, has been nominated for The BD100 2019! The BD100 recognises the UK’s top 100 influential business developers who are pathing the way in marketing agency new business and overall business development. Show your support by casting your vote for Kay, here: https://bd100.club/vote 🗳
Work Experience
August also saw sixth form student, Freddie, join us for a week of work experience! Freddie got stuck into life at The Barns, and spent his week dipping in and out of various areas within the company, from site support and client services, to UX and social media - he even wrote an excellent blog for our website - you can read it here! Well done Freddie, and good luck in your exams next year!
Work experience
We also had Leeds Uni student, Ellie, join us in August. Currently going into her second year, studying Digital Media, Ellie popped to The Barns for a week to experience working for a Digital Agency first hand! Stay tuned for more on Ellie's week with us...
To show support for the incredible tech talent we have in the West Midlands, this year we’re taking an active role by getting involved in Birmingham Tech Week. We’ll help in driving their mission forward: to highlight Birmingham’s burgeoning Tech Scene.
Apart from shouting from the top of our lungs about the tech talent, companies and initiatives that call Birmingham their home, celebrating it by having our next Tonic instalment during the same week is the perfect way to show our support and commitment! Join Tonic 04 on 9 Oct 2019 here.
This month, we also celebrated two Freestyle-iversaries 🎉. Our Marketing Manager Jules has been with us for 2 years, and Jake has completed his first year at Freestyle! Jules continues to bring sunshine and marketing magic to The Barns, constantly delivering amazing peer support and tackling challenges left, right and centre. Go Jules! Within his first year, Jake has already made the big leap into Client Services, and leads the Site Support team with ease! We can’t wait to see what the future holds for these two, here at Freestyle🥂
